Acrylic Abandoned Vehicles

With my love to explore new places, and the drive for adventure, I was inspired into a new direction with what I wanted to create. On a trip to the Southwest and a chance visit to the ghost town of Jerome AZ, I was somehow led to the remnants of the Gold King Mine, and found myself immersed in a land of vehicles that time forgot.  Hundreds of old trucks, delivery wagons and tow vehicles, I spent the afternoon photographing the fronts of these quiet, rusting antiques of lives gone by.  I knew then that I was to bring these trucks back to life in my paintings. To capture their character on canvas just makes me smile, I become lost in a world of magic while I'm painting these, the feeling of my gypsy soul extending through my brush tips and onto the canvas, I can almost feel the journey these vehicles must of had.
